More about Overspeed Training

If you take the time to search the internet, you'll see that overspeed training is used by baseball players to make extraordinary gains in bat speed and pitching velocity. The Olympics' 100-meter sprint is the purest speed event of them all. Sprinters use techniques like sprinting down a slight (about 2°) downhill slope to force the body into experiencing faster speeds. Another method sprinters utilize is having two runners attached to each other by a bungee cord, the lead runner takes off well in front of the trail runner and builds tension on the bungee cord. The tension on the bungee cord assists the trail runner to sprint much faster than if he were unassisted. Multiple rehearsals at faster than normal speeds build memories in the brain called engrams. By simply experiencing the golf swing at extreme speeds you are able to gain the knowledge of how to make the brain and muscles work together to create speed. By continuing to train and rehearse a faster firing pattern of the nervous system with the OVERSPEED CLUB it soon becomes second nature when you use your own driver. Over the first 3 weeks of training, you'll have trained and rehearsed enough to equip you with the ability to call upon your body at any time to create 10 to 16 mph more swing speed. This 10 to 16 mph increase in swing speed is equivalent to 25 to 40 yards in added distance! Credit for the increase in swing speed is just as much neurological as it is physical improvement.

Muscles adapt to the way they are trained. If you train fast, you’ll become faster. Training with the OVERSPEED CLUB trains your golf-specific muscles to contract faster and in the proper sequence of the golf swing. This type of training also recruits fast-twitch muscle fibers that have basically been lying dormant in the body for years simply because you’ve never swung fast enough to require their involvement. Training with the OVERSPEED CLUB puts you into the highest level of neuromuscular stimulation. Because you are now training and improving these fast-twitch muscle fibers, you will be much faster in the coming weeks with the OVERSPEED CLUB as well as with your own driver.

The OVERSPEED CLUB is going to train you in a different way than the heavy weighted devices. A heavy weighted driver will help you get a little stronger in your golf specific muscles but will do very little if anything in helping you create speed. By gaining strength from using a heavy weighted driver you will be able to minimize some of the deceleration of the clubhead at impact, which will increase distance a little. A heavy weighted driver helps you at impact while the OVERSPEED CLUB will help you get from the top of your swing to the impact area FASTER. You can't train for speed by training with a heavier object and moving slower. Strength and Speed are different but both are important if you want longer drives. Simply put, the OVERSPEED CLUB training creates the speed and training while a weighted device builds only strength.
